Photo Journal — Covid-19

Photo series

This photo-a-day polaroid project is split between documenting San Francisco as it changed and adapted to new rules and policies around Covid-19, and my own personal experience living through the ups and downs of lockdown, work and socializing.

It begins on March 16th, 2020, the day San Francisco’s first Stay-At-Home ordinance took effect and was originally anticipated to last for 30 days. As the ordinance extended, so did the duration of this series. It now serves as social and personal documentation of the first year with Covid-19. The selection of photos shown here are either chosen because they were documenting something for the first time — social distancing, the George Floyd protests, mass testing — or they captured a feeling of the times, personally or communally.
